Montrose has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Fruita Monument Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, Montrose didn't have too much trouble with Eagle Valley at home as they won 50-35.
Kaleb Ferguson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Cooper Ross was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Fruita Monument put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Battle Mountain at home to the tune of 70-28. Fruita Monument has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 23 points or more this season.
Montrose's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Fruita Monument, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0.
Montrose came up short against Fruita Monument in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 51-43. Can Montrose avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
