It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They secured a 72-68 W over Northgate. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Northgate lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being David Harris, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Andjus, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 1 assist.
Clayton Valley Charter's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Northgate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.
Clayton Valley Charter will be playing at home against Mt. Diablo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Diablo is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Northgate, they will face off against Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
