In what's become a running theme this season, the Rio Vista Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Frost 60-38. With Rio Vista ahead 40-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Rio Vista's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Macklin, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Macklin hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Covey, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Rio Vista's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-12. As for Frost, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-19.
Rio Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wampus Cats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Itasca will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Frost, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hamilton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
