Given Jackson South Side's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Jackson Central Merry is ranked 269th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson South Side found their leader in underclassman Aydison Dilworth, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Currie, who scored six points along with five assists and five steals.
Jackson South Side pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.31 points. As for Jackson Central Merry, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Jackson South Side will be playing in front of their home fans against Hardin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hardin County is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games. Jackson Central Merry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
