Franklin and Oak Creek are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Franklin Sabers will head out on the road to face off against the Oak Creek Knights at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Oak Creek likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, Franklin humbled Kenosha Tremper with a 71-35 victory. That looming 71-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Franklin yet this season.
Meanwhile, Oak Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 53-47 to Indian Trail. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oak Creek has scored all season.
Franklin's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Oak Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Franklin didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Oak Creek in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 50-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
