The Banner County Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Minatare. Banner County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Minatare apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Loss or not, Banner County got some senior leadership from Jacob Parsons who scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals and Nathan McGowan who scored 3 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Parsons scored a full 51.1% of Banner County's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Banner County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Minatare, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Banner County has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Bayard at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Minatare will take on Sioux County at TBD on Friday.
