The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks lost against the Bozeman Bucks back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Port St. Joe fell to Bozeman 46-41. It was the first time this season that Port St. Joe let down their fans at home.
Port St. Joe lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaden Jenrett, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Bj Cole was another key contributor, scoring three points along with 12 rebounds and five steals.
Bozeman was led to victory by Noah Gray and Jamie Hernandez. Gray scored 15 points along with eight rebounds, while Hernandez shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Gray is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.
Port St. Joe's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-8. As for Bozeman, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Port St. Joe won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. Franklin County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three contests. As for Bozeman, they will head out on the road to take on Freeport at 1:15 p.m. on Monday. Freeport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 568th, while Bozeman is ranked 194th).
