Avon Lake got a good showing from Joe Falish, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Falish gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had over his last three contests.
At the plate, Josh Bobrowski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland). They put the hurt on Tallmadge with a sharp 14-4 victory on Thursday. With that win, the Hornets brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Avon Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
