Westran lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Sturgeon, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. Westran put the hurt on Sturgeon with a sharp 19-6 win on Friday. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.

Westran has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westran will square off against La Plata at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sturgeon, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Schuyler County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
