Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool is 0-3 against North Central Texas Academy since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool Warriors' road trip will continue as they head out to face the North Central Texas Academy Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-53 loss to All S. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while All S is ranked 668th).
Despite the defeat, Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool got a solid performance out of Toby Pike, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. Pike is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Aguilar, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, North Central Texas Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Varsity Opponent, posting a 92-21 win at home. North Central Texas Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.
Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4. As for North Central Texas Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool suffered a grim 55-34 defeat to North Central Texas Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
