The Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles were the 66-62 winner over the Oak Level Baptist Academy Conquerors when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Sheets Memorial Christian fell 51-43 to Oak Level Baptist Academy on Friday.
Sheets Memorial Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Finn Everhart, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Everhart has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Howell, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Sheets Memorial Christian's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Oak Level Baptist Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-16.
Sheets Memorial Christian will head out on the road to face off against Fayetteville Street Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Level Baptist Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Noble Academy at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Noble Academy is ranked 673rd, while Oak Level Baptist Academy is ranked 674th).
