Germantown barely beat Middle College the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils blew past the Bulldogs 17-3 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won six matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Johnathan Rudd made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

In other batting news, Bradyn Morris was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cameron Leaks, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Germantown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Germantown's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Middle College, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Germantown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-14 victory against Fayette Ware on the 10th. As for Middle College, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-8 win against Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering on the 9th.
