It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cherry Creek Bruins had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Mustangs. Cherry Creek's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Cherry Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Herron, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Weldon, who rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
Cherry Creek's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Ralston Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Cherry Creek will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Columbine at 3:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Columbine will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Ralston Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
