Cody-Kilgore was dealt a 76-44 loss at the hands of Valentine on Tuesday. Cody-Kilgore has not had much luck with Valentine recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Valentine's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andon Olson, who scored 22 points along with six steals. Olson set a new season high mark in blocks with two. Isaac Cronin was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds.
Cody-Kilgore's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5. As for Valentine, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cody-Kilgore will take on Hay Springs at TBD on Thursday. Hay Springs will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Valentine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hershey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hershey is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
