The Collinsville Pirates won against the Chico Dragons last Friday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Collinsville blew past Chico 65-25 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Collinsville has managed all season.
Collinsville was led to victory by Carter Scott and Landon Carpenter. Scott dropped a double-double on 15 points and 22 rebounds, while Carpenter dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Carpenter's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Wells, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Collinsville, bringing their record for this year to 8-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Chico, they are on a 20-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-22.
Collinsville will be playing at home against Tioga at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Tioga and Collinsville are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Chico, they will head out on the road to challenge Era at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Era has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
