Belleville junior defensive back
Adrian Walker Jr. made the interception of a lifetime Sunday in Michigan's Division 1 state championship game against Southfield Arts & Tech (Southfield) at Ford Field in Detroit.
With 1:22 left in the first quarter, Walker Jr. deflected a pass then caught it behind his back without looking at the 26-yard line for his fifth interception of the season. See it below.
Walker Jr. returned the interception 15 yards and set up his offense at the Southfield 11-yard line. Moments later,
Colbey Reed scored a rushing touchdown to give Belleville a 7-6 lead.
The three-star junior has offers from Colorado, LSU, Michigan State and Penn State.
Walker plays on both sides of the ball and is the team's second leading
receiver with six touchdowns and more than 500 yards. In the first
quarter he hauled in a 31-yard reception from quarterback
Bryce Underwood, the top rated player in the Class of 2025.
Belleville (13-1) lost the game 36-32 but has had quite a run over the past two years, going 27-1 with a state title in 2022.
