The Parsippany Redhawks's game on Wednesday was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Mountain Lakes by a score of 43-40. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Parsippany has scored all season.
Parsippany's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Niedermaier, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Charlie Cordasco, who scored eight points.
Parsippany now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Mountain Lakes, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parsippany will take on Kittatinny Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain Lakes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopatcong at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopatcong has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 26.
