Baseball Recap: Lynn Camp Has No Trouble Against Buckhorn

Lynn Camp barely beat Buckhorn the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lynn Camp was the clear victor by a 13-5 margin over Buckhorn on Saturday. With that win, Lynn Camp brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Jeremiah Dixon and Ethan Curry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Dixon tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Curry tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Lynn Camp is 2-1 when Dixon allows one or fewer hits, but 5-12 otherwise. At the plate, Dixon earned two runs and two stolen bases, while Curry went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Dixon has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Lynn Camp got a massive performance out of Dj Wren, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Wren a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Darren Campbell, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Lynn Camp was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Lynn Camp is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Buckhorn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-18.
