Fountain Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 97-30 victory over the Centennial Apaches. The Barons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 26 points or more this season.

Fountain Valley is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Centennial, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Fountain Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against South at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. South knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Fountain Valley likes a good challenge. As for Centennial, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Harbor Teacher at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Centennial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
