The Clay County Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 54-45 to Buffalo. Clay County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Buffalo apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Buffalo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anna Boggess out in front who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Boggess scored 15 or more points. Lauren White was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Clay County's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Buffalo, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Clay County will be home for the holidays to greet Nicholas County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Buffalo will take on Poca in a holiday battle at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at. Hopefully Poca focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday.
