The Providence School Stallions and the Shabach Christian Academy Eagles will face off at 8:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Providence School is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Providence School was able to grind out a solid victory over IMG Academy Blue, taking the game 52-40. Given Providence School's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while IMG Academy Blue is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Providence School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Mcabee led the charge by scoring 15 points. Chris Arias was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Shabach Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They breezed by Varsity Opponent on the road to the tune of 81-44. 81 seems to be a good number for Shabach Christian Academy as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Providence School is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Shabach Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
