The Loachapoka Indians are on the road again on Monday and play against the Maplesville Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Loachapoka was able to grind out a solid victory over Billingsley, taking the game 44-32.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Maplesville on the road against Isabella on Thursday as the team secured a 62-34 win.
Nehemiah McCary and Jonathan Wilson were among the main playmakers for Maplesville as the former scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals and the latter scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Wilson has scored at least 25% of Maplesville's points. Another player making a difference was Jakobe Nix, who scored 5 points along with 10 assists and 4 steals.
Loachapoka pushed their record up to 1-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Maplesville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Loachapoka strolled past Maplesville in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 53-37. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Maplesville's Jakavion Jackson, who scored 22 points. Now that he won't be playing on Monday, will it be that much easier for Loachapoka to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
