The Northside Panthers can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 26-6 margin over Sharpstown. The victory was just what Northside needed coming off of a 72-0 loss in their prior contest.
Sharpstown's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Django Stroman, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown. Stroman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
Even if they lost, Sharpstown's defense sure didn't make it easy: Northside's QB was sacked five times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Stroman and his two sacks.
Northside's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Sharpstown, their loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10.
Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sharpstown also has no future games currently scheduled.
