The matchup between Hilton Head Christian Academy and Brunswick wasn't particularly close, with Hilton Head Christian Academy falling 57-41. Hilton Head Christian Academy found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up nine fewer assists than your opponent.
Hilton Head Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah White, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Foster, who scored 13 points.
Brunswick got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daron Monroe out in front who scored 17 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Monroe has scored all season. Nasir Poole was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Hilton Head Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Brunswick, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hilton Head Christian Academy will take on Hilton Head Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilton Head Prep is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Brunswick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Effingham County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Effingham County is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
