McPherson were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They steamrollered Augusta 63-6. That's another feather in the cap for McPherson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
McPherson's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 55 first-half points. Meanwhile, Augusta couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 55-0 heading into the break. The McPherson defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. McPherson added further sheen to their flawless record, now 6-0. The loss dropped Augusta's record to 1-5.
Next week McPherson take on Rose Hill at 7:00 PM. Rose Hill are limping into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Augusta, they will face off against Abilene.
