The Bryan Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 59-37 defeat at the hands of Harker Heights. Bryan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-21.
Bryan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaiah nutall, who gained 136 total yards and three touchdowns, and Terrence Lewis who picked up 183 receiving yards and a touchdown. Nutall's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
Dylan Plake was his usual excellent self, throwing for 310 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Mcmillan, who picked up 65 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Harker Heights, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Bryan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harker Heights will face off against DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DeSoto knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Harker Heights likes a good challenge.
