Basketball Recap: Inverness Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Inverness Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 72-23 takedown of Grace Christian back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Inverness Christian Academy fell 52-39 to the Oldsmar Christian Red Eagles on Tuesday. Inverness Christian Academy hasn't had much luck with Oldsmar Christian Red recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Inverness Christian Academy lost, don't look at Mason Albair. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points and five steals. The matchup was Albair's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Koster, who posted six points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Inverness Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 17 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Inverness Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Inverness Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Spring Hill Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Oldsmar Christian Red does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
