Deer Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freedom Falcons. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Perhaps the best among those players was Anias Hightower, who rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Those 144 rushing yards gave Hightower a new career-high. Sundiata Walker was another key player, rushing for 60 yards and a touchdown.
Even though they lost, Deer Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Tah'Kai Edwards was the offensive standout of the game as he picked up 37 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making seven total tackles. Broden Ferguson handled things on the ground, rushing for 106 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Deer Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Freedom, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.
