The Show Low Cougars gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-44 victory over Monument Valley. For Show Low, this counts as revenge for the 68-42 loss Monument Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Show Low can attribute much of their success to Preston Power, who scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Wallentine, who scored 11 points.
Show Low's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Monument Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Show Low will take on Round Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monument Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Montezuma-Cortez at 3:30 p.m.
