Valley Stream Central put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past the Hempstead Tigers 11-1. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Julian Vera and Justin Owolabi did most of the damage at the plate: Vera went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs, while Owolabi got on base in three of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. Those five stolen bases gave Owolabi a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Valley Stream Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Valley Stream Central pushed their record up to 11-0-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Hempstead: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
