You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the North Olmsted Eagles's strategy against the Buckeye Bucks on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that North Olmsted blew Buckeye out of the water with a 60-22 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-16.
North Olmsted's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mia Donald, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Julia Tahsin was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for North Olmsted and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for Buckeye, they dropped their record down to 1-20 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Olmsted will take on Keystone at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keystone will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something North Olmsted surely won't give up without a fight. As for Buckeye, they will play host again and welcome Black River, where tip off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Buckeye is facing Black River at the right time seeing as Black River is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
