The Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Bridges Prep 77-28 at home. The victory was nothing new for Bamberg-Ehrhardt as they're now sitting on four straight.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mh'Chiya Johnson led the charge by scoring 28 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raven Brown, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten steals.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Bridges Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bamberg-Ehrhardt will face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Whale Branch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 105th). Bridges Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. Branchville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
