Softball Recap: North Union Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

North Union entered their tilt with Dublin Jerome on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Celtics. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Brenna Martino spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

At the plate, Kennedy Harrah was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kale Keigley, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

North Union was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

North Union now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Dublin Jerome, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Union will head out to challenge Graham Local at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Dublin Jerome, they will face off against Olentangy Berlin at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
