After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Henryville, South Central was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Austin Eagles with a sharp 16-5 victory. Considering the Rebels have won three games by more than ten runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Breanna Hess was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Hess was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs.
