Basketball Recap: North Creek Has No Trouble Against Eastlake

North Creek's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-44 margin over the Eastlake Wolves. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

North Creek can attribute much of their success to Madison McGill, who went 7-for-11 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance gave McGill a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Geller, who posted seven points in addition to 11 rebounds and three steals.

Despite the defeat, Eastlake saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maggie Bredeweg went 6-for-12 on her way to 22 points and seven boards. Bredeweg is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Audrey Borup, who earned two points along with 16 rebounds and five assists.

North Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for Eastlake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-15.

North Creek has already played their next matchup, a 56-51 victory against Arlington on the 15th. Eastlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
