As a matter of fact, Norcom put up the most runs they have all season last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over Booker T. Washington. Meanwhile, Norview hadn't done well against Maury recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Thursday. Valerie Miranda was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Miranda was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with five runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those five runs gave her a new career-high.
