Corinth had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 43-33 victory over the Watervliet Cannoneers on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Riverhawks sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Corinth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Whitney Cameron, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Cameron has scored at least a third of Corinth's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Shanahan, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards.
Corinth pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points over those games. As for Watervliet, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Coming up, Corinth will head out to take on Voorheesville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Watervliet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
