Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Now 13-1 over Last 14 Games

Ridgeview won against Trinity Christian Academy last Thursday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Everything went the Ridgeview Panthers' way against the Westside Wolverines as the Ridgeview Panthers made off with a 58-32 victory. With the Panthers ahead 35-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Ridgeview was led to victory by Emma Rayes and Narissa Blocton. Rayes posted 18 points and three steals, while Blocton almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Rayes a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jamya Davis, who put up six points and seven rebounds.

Ridgeview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Ridgeview is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.9 points per game. As for Westside, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Ridgeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westside, they are taking a road trip to challenge Baker County on Monday. Baker County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
