Worcester Tech lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Assabet Valley RVT, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Eagles put the hurt on the Aztecs with a sharp 12-2 victory on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Jace Benetiz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Benetiz is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Yuandel Ortiz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Keefe Tech waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Chargers.
Chris Anastos was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Keefe Tech is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Anastos was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
In other batting news, Nate DeBoer was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Will Deveau, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Keefe Tech now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Worcester Tech, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Worcester Tech has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Keefe Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Worcester Tech was able to grind out a solid win over Keefe Tech in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
