The Dixie County Bears will venture away from home to face off against the Bell Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bell took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Dixie County, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with nine losses in a row, Dixie County turned things around against Hamilton County on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 14-2 victory. The Bears not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 17th.

Jaidyn Wilkerson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. The game marked her first with multiple earned runs this season.
At the plate, Dixie County let Hadlee Hines and Jaicee Brown run wild. Hines went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Brown scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave Brown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Blevins, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Dixie County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamilton County only posted an OBP of .346.
Meanwhile, Bell didn't have quite enough to beat Branford on Friday and fell 6-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Buccaneers: they've now lost eight in a row.
Alaina Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits.
On the hitting side, Gracelynd Joiner-Solis and Alexsandra Faught did some serious damage despite the final result: Joiner-Solis went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Faught scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That stolen base was Faught's first of the season.
Bell's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Dixie County, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-9.
Dixie County might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Bell when the teams last played last Thursday. Can Dixie County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
