The Heschel Heschel Heat kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They received a tough blow as they fell 45-30 to Yavneh Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Heschel in their matchups with Yavneh Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
It was another big night for Sam Rael, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals for Yavneh Academy. Rael is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Max Fisherov was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Heschel's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Yavneh Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Heschel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Yavneh Academy will face off against Beth Tfiloh at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
