With a playoff game on the line, the St. James Wildcats rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Tigers, posting a 40-0 win on the road. The result was nothing new for St. James, who have now won seven contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Leading St. James to victory were Brayden Williams and Kani King-young. Williams rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns, while King-young rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. King-young was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
St. James' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Nicholas Chopin and his two sacks.
The win makes it two in a row for St. James and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Many, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
St. James will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sterlington at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Sterlington is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games. Many does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
