The Taos Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Pojoaque Valley 35-6 on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Taos, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Pojoaque Valley saw an underclassman step up: Jonah Villegas rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Taos' win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 3-6. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Pojoaque Valley, Taos, and Taos. As for Pojoaque Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season.
Taos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pojoaque Valley is also done with their season.
