Atlantic Collegiate Academy lost to Marion back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Armada were the clear victors by a 56-34 margin over the Swamp Foxes. The Armada pushed the score to 47-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Swamp Foxes cut but never quite recovered from.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy found their leader in freshman Erin Williams, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 17 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaniya Blackmon, who posted ten points and four steals.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Atlantic Collegiate Academy and Cape Fear Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Hurricanes will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Armada surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marion, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Myrtle Beach at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The Seahawks' defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so the Swamp Foxes' offense will have their work cut out for them.
