Softball Recap: Oswego East Wins Going Away Against Bolingbrook

Oswego East barely beat Bolingbrook the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 14-3 win on Monday. Considering the Wolves have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sophia Anderson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Oswego East got a massive performance out of Lundin Cornelius, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Cornelius has posted since back in May of 2024. Katie Maday was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Oswego East's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Bolingbrook, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
