The Two Eagle River Eagles had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They managed a 86-80 victory over Heart Butte. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Two Eagle River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Talon Addison, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Malacye Piapot, who scored 18 points.
Two Eagle River pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.3 points per game. As for Heart Butte, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Two Eagle River will head out on the road to challenge Charlo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Charlo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Heart Butte, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Great Falls Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Great Falls Central Catholic has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
