It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but McCook ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Kearney Catholic Stars by a score of 45-37. The victory was familiar territory for the Bison who have now won four contests in a row.

Kearney Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Payton Dzingle, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 11 points and three blocks, and Danielle Seim, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks. The dominant performance also gave Seim a new career-high in assists (two). Livia Mandernach was another key player, putting up three points.

McCook pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Kearney Catholic, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

McCook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-43 defeat against Holdrege on the 21st. Kearney Catholic and Amherst will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on December 30th.
