Sunlake has gone 8-2 against Pasco recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Sunlake Seahawks will take on the Pasco Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Sunlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
While Sunlake's victory against Nature Coast Tech wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Sunlake narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Nature Coast Tech 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Seahawks.

Madison Siders looked comfortable as she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Barningham, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Abigail Avant was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Pasco never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Central last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 10-1 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Abigail Grubbs made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Those hits were her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Grubbs wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addison Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that Garcia snagged this season. Another was Morgan Montelongo, who scored two runs.
Sunlake pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Pasco, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Pasco's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sunlake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. It's a different story for Pasco, though, as they've only averaged .132. Will they be able to contain Sunlake's hitters?
Sunlake skirted past Pasco 4-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sunlake since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
