Trey Scheler Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Cheyenne Wells's Trey Scheler, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Scheler rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
The win for Cheyenne Wells keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Scheler and Cheyenne Wells will square off against Eads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Winder Posts Huge Game in 40-38 Victory
Shaine Winder's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 146+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
Winder must have Cheraw's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Winder last faced the Wolverines back in September of 2023, he rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown.

Maddox Coleman Goes Supernova in Granada Defeat
Maddox Coleman put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Coleman is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Walsh on Friday. When Coleman last faced the Eagles back in September of 2023, he rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns.

Wiley's 12-game losing streak dating back to last season is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Grant Mauch. Mauch threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 81 yards on only five carries, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Those 81 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Wiley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. Mauch and Wiley will play host again on Friday to welcome Cheraw, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
