Pittsburg couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Deer Valley a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 33-31, 17-25, 25-18, 25-23.
Jermanie Earnest paced Pittsburg's offense, picking up ten kills. Earnest got some help from Angel Lozano De La Cruz and his 16 assists. Finally, Damien Takafua kept Pittsburg's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Cyril James Omne was a one-man wrecking crew For Deer Valley. as he had 27 digs and two assists. Those 27 digs gave Omne a new career-high. Atlas O'Connor also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
Pittsburg's record now sits at 11-19. As for Deer Valley, they pushed their record up to 22-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
